Dr. Alma Arredondo-Lynch is a general dentist highly trained in cosmetic and oral surgery, as well as the treatment of early and moderate stages of gum disease. She offers a full spectrum of advanced and basic dentistry that include veneers, and crown and bridge, extraction of wisdom teeth (both soft tissue and bony impacted). Dentures and removable partials dentures. She also performs tori removal-large bony areas that interfere with proper denture placement. She has also performed well over 15,000 extractions over the last 18 years. Dr. Lynch also treats children of all ages, children with special needs, with various medical conditions and syndromes as well as medically compromised individuals and geriatrics.
Dr. Lynch was born and raised in a small town called Rio Grande City in South Texas. She graduated cum laude with a double major from Pan American University, Pre-Med Biology and Secondary Education with a minor in Chemistry and Physical Science. She is a certified high school teacher. Dr. Lynch was one of 33 students chosen throughout the United States to attend Tulane University where she did research for the Infectious Disease Department. She also graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center Dental Branch in Houston under one of the hardest curriculums ever implemented by the system The Self-Paced Program.
Dr. Lynch has trained in oral surgery under Dr. Mayer Leonard, a nationally renowned oral surgeon, where Dr. Lynch presented her techniques and styles at the general meeting assembly of the Academy of General Dentistry in Toronto, Canada to fellow General Dentists. Her patients continue to benefit from the extensive and continued training in various dental procedures as evidenced by patients who travel to seek her continued care from Zapata, Laredo, Rock Springs, Del Rio, Asherton, Crystal City, and Big Wells to name a few.
Dr. Lynch served our US Navy as a civilian dentist in the Pacific Northwest. She was in charge of Oral Surgery for Branch Dental Clinic in Everett, Washington. She kept deployment readiness for our Navy at 98.5%. Dr. Lynch treated the sailors and officers of the large carriers- USS Abraham Lincoln and USS Vincent and the rest of the Pac Northwest Fleet, when docked at the Navy base, Port of Everett.
Dr. Lynch has worked for both Community Health centers and private practice. Her story of her struggle as a migrant farm worker to dentist, "From Dust to Dentistry", appeared in the Dallas Times Herald and Dentistry today. She is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Association of Women Dentist. She has also served as dental professor for a remote site for the UTHSC Dental branch in San Antonio.
Dr. Lynch has been active in the past with organizations such as the Rotary Club International where she served as vice president, charter member of the Boys and Girls Club of Zapata. She has awarded scholarships to migrant farm workers and to some of the students in the top 10, stock buyer for the youth fair, sponsored two little league teams.
My state of the art practice is dedicated to providing a"beacon of hope" to those who seek healthier, happier lives through dental care, says Dr. Lynch. I am committed to providing care for all patients in need of dental care whether limited or extensive, regardless of their insurance situation. Dr. Lynch lives on a ranch in Concan, Texas with her husband of 30 years, Dan and their daughter, Danielle. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Lynch's hobbies include fishing and hunting, bird watching and raising registered longhorns.
Most importantly, she gives all the credit of her success to her Lord Jesus Christ, her husband and her wonderful children. She also cherishes her experiences as a mother and grandmother to her children Linda, Christian, Danielle, and her son-in-law Jonathan, and her grandchildren Jonathan Daniel and Cadi Anna. Dr. Lynch accepts most insurance and Tricare. Dr.Lynch believes in helping our military men and women by accepting their dental insurance.
